Research and planning so far

So far i had done careful consideration into what genre i wnated to create a music magazine on and i chose a genre i have a strong passion for which is korean pop ( k-pop)

i purchased two magazine Bromide and Wawa Girl which are big magazines in korea for reporting on kpop. i studied both magazines and discovered that these are the key conventions
-Free posters and star stickers
- Bold Lettering
Korean Movie + Drama reviews included
-song lyrics
-puzzles and quizzes
-celebrity style pages
- interviews with a variety of artists
-audience pages for fan drawn pictures and comments
- double page interview for every artist with about 5 pics for a solo artist or more if its a group
- writing is spaced out underneath or next to pictures
-artist profiles
- bold titles on every page with bright colours
-competitions

I then started to think about planning and i have decided between two names which im still deciding on which is either seoul beats/music or Kpop jjang as jjang is a korean word for love but the pun on seoul links to the country of where all the music is produced.

In class we started doing a rough sketch of our front cover i had decided to do a valentines edition . i have uploaded a picture of my design below
